Compliance: It’s Real, It’s Relevant
... and It’s More Than Just Records Results for Records and Document Specialists.
The survey indicates organizations still have a long-road ahead; dealing with electronic records management and contending with eDiscovery.

Results indicate:

  • 68% of organizations are in "Complete Chaos" when managing critical information on individual hard drives and portable devices.
  • 63% include information for a legal action when discussing compliance.
  • 66% do not believe there is a widespread understanding what electronic records are and how they should be retained.
  • 62% do not believe they have clear electronic information policies and procedures when responding to a lawsuit.Policy and procedure documentation and employee training are the two most significant compliance costs.
